Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Habit Cat app, made by IYIO ("we", "our", or "us"). On the App Store, Habit Cat's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

• No account: there's no sign-in and nothing to register.
• No analytics, tracking or ads: the app has no third-party SDKs.
• No networking: the app doesn't send your habits, ticks, notes, reminders, icons or colours anywhere. They leave your device only when you print, share or export them.
• No Health data: habits are names you type. The app reads nothing from Apple Health.

• Habits: with their names, targets, ticked days, notes, reminders, icons and colours, stored in one file in the app's own storage on your device. They're part of your normal device backup, like any app's documents. We don't sync or copy them anywhere.
• A file that can’t be read: or one saved by a newer version, is kept as a dated copy beside it on your device, never overwritten and never sent anywhere.
• Keeping: everything stays until you delete it. If Pro is ever lost, no tick, streak, note, icon or colour is removed.

• Local notifications: repeating, scheduled on your device at the time you pick, and shown by iOS. They go through no server and say "Time for" and the habit's name.
• Permission: iOS asks the first time there's a reminder to schedule, not when the app opens. If you say no, you get no reminders and everything else works.
• No other permissions: no camera, photos, contacts, location, microphone or Health.

• Pro: an optional one-time in-app purchase through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment, the app checks your purchase on your device, and we receive no purchase data.

Your habits leave the app only when you tap one of these in a printer menu. The charts carry your habits' names and ticked days, and the CSV also carries your notes:

• Print: the monthly chart, or the year chart and week sheet (Pro), sent with AirPrint to the printer you choose.
• Share as PDF: the same charts, sent with the system share sheet to the app or person you choose.
• Export CSV (Pro): sent with the system share sheet to the app or person you choose.

About › Report a problem or Suggest an idea opens an email to [email protected] in your own mail app, with the app version, iOS version and device model filled in. It reaches us only if you send it.

Habit Cat Pro is an in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.

If the app changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
