Overview
This policy covers the Passport Cat app, made by IYIO ("we", "our", or "us"). On the App Store, Passport Cat's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
- No account: there's no sign-in and nothing to register.
- No analytics, tracking or ads: the app has no third-party SDKs.
- No networking: the app doesn't send your photos or settings anywhere. Photos leave your device only when you choose to save, print or share them.
Your Photos
Passport Cat only sees the photo you give it:
- Camera: the camera picture is checked on your device and never uploaded.
- Photo library: you pick a photo with the system photo picker. The app gets only that photo and has no access to the rest of your library.
- Photo check: face position and size are measured on your device, using Apple's built-in Vision framework.
What the App Keeps
- Your last photo: kept in the app's own storage on your device, encrypted while your device is locked, and excluded from iCloud backup.
- Saved people (Pro): stored the same way. You can delete each person in the app.
- Prints and exports: made as temporary files only so you can save, print or share them.
Saving and Sharing
Your photos leave the app only when you tap one of these:
- Save to Photos: the app asks for add-only access. It adds new photos and never changes your originals.
- Share or Print: the system share sheet sends the file to the app, printer or person you choose.
- Links: "Contact us" and the links to official photo rules open in your mail app or browser, only when you tap them.
Settings
The document you chose last is remembered on your device. Nothing stored there identifies you.
Purchases
Passport Cat Pro is an in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.
Changes to This Policy
If the app changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
