Privacy Policy

Planner Cat keeps your plan, with its blocks, repeats, reminders and templates, on your iPhone or iPad. We don't collect any data from the app.

Last updated: October 24, 2026

Overview

This policy covers the Planner Cat app, made by IYIO ("we", "our", or "us"). On the App Store, Planner Cat's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

  • No account: there's no sign-in and nothing to register.
  • No analytics, tracking or ads: the app has no third-party SDKs.
  • No networking: the app doesn't send your blocks, ticks, notes, reminders, templates or calendar events anywhere. Your plan leaves your device only when you print, share or export it.

Your Plan

  • Blocks: with their titles, times, repeats, ticked days, notes, reminders, colours and icons, and your saved day templates, stored in one file in the app's own storage on your device. They're part of your normal device backup, like any app's documents. We don't sync or copy them anywhere.
  • A file that can’t be read: or one saved by a newer version, is kept as a dated copy beside it on your device, never overwritten and never sent anywhere.
  • One setting: whether you turned calendar events on. It holds nothing from your calendar.
  • Keeping: everything stays until you delete it. If Pro is ever lost, no block, colour, icon or saved template is removed.

Your Calendar (Pro)

Planner Cat can show your calendar's events beside your blocks. It reads them live on your device and never stores, exports or sends them.

  • Permission: iOS asks for read access only when you turn "Show calendar events" on, never when the app opens. Planner Cat never writes to your calendar.
  • Read live: events are read from your device's calendar each time the day or week is shown, and kept only in memory while they're on screen.
  • Never copied: no event is saved in your plan, and none goes into a printed or shared page or the CSV.
  • Turning it off: if you say no, or turn access off later in Settings, events simply stop showing. The same happens if Pro is lost, because nothing was copied.

Reminders

  • Local notifications: scheduled on your device and shown by iOS. They go through no server and say only the block's title and time, such as "Reading at 9:00 AM".
  • Permission: iOS asks the first time there's a reminder to schedule, not when the app opens. If you say no, you get no reminders and everything else works.
  • No other permissions: no camera, photos, contacts, location, microphone or Health.

Planner Cat Pro

  • Pro: an optional one-time in-app purchase through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment, the app checks your purchase on your device, and we receive no purchase data.

Printing, Sharing and Export

Your plan leaves the app only when you tap one of these in a menu. The pages carry your blocks' titles, times and ticks, and the CSV also carries repeats, reminders and notes. None of them carry calendar events:

  • Print: the day and week pages, or the week list and month pages (Pro), sent with AirPrint to the printer you choose.
  • Share as PDF: the same pages, sent with the system share sheet to the app or person you choose.
  • Export CSV (Pro): sent with the system share sheet to the app or person you choose.

Feedback

About › Report a problem or Suggest an idea opens an email to [email protected] in your own mail app, with the app version, iOS version and device model filled in. It reaches us only if you send it.

Purchases

Planner Cat Pro is an in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.
