Privacy Policy

QR Cat makes QR codes on your iPhone or iPad. We don't collect any data from the app.

Overview

This policy covers the QR Cat app, made by IYIO ("we", "our", or "us"). On the App Store, QR Cat's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

  • No account: there's no sign-in and nothing to register.
  • No analytics, tracking or ads: the app has no third-party SDKs.
  • No networking: the app doesn't send your codes or what's in them anywhere, and doesn't sync them to iCloud. They leave your device only when you choose to print, share or save them.

Your Codes

  • Made on your device: the app draws each code and test-scans it on your device. What a code holds (a link, a Wi-Fi name and password, a contact or a payment handle) is kept only in the code itself and in the app.
  • Stored: the codes you save (My Codes), with any logo you add, are kept in the app's own storage on your device. Nothing syncs.
  • Your logo: you pick it with the system photo picker. The app gets only that photo and has no access to the rest of your library.

Printing, Sharing and Saving

Your codes leave the app only when you tap one of these:

  • Print: AirPrint sends the page to the printer you pick.
  • Share: the system share sheet sends a PDF or image to the app or person you choose.
  • Save to Photos: the app asks for add-only access the first time you tap it. It can add your code to Photos, but it can't see your library.
  • Links: Help & support, Privacy policy, Contact us and "Open Google Business Profile" open in Safari or your own mail app. The app sends nothing itself.

Changes to This Policy

If the app changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
