Overview
This policy covers the Receipt Cat app and its share action, made by IYIO ("we", "our", or "us"). On the App Store, Receipt Cat's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
- No account: there's no sign-in and nothing to register.
- No analytics, tracking or ads: the app has no third-party SDKs.
- No networking: the app doesn't send your receipts, reports or settings anywhere, and doesn't sync them to iCloud. They leave your device only when you choose to share them.
Your Receipts
- In: the document camera, the system photo picker (the app gets only the photos you pick and has no access to the rest of your library), the Files picker and the share sheet. A receipt shared from another app waits in a folder only Receipt Cat can read, and is removed from it once the app has imported it.
- Reading: done on your device, using Apple's built-in Vision framework. No text or image is sent anywhere to be read.
- Stored: receipt images and details are kept in the app's own storage on your device. They're part of your normal device backup, like any app's files.
- Warranty reminders: notifications scheduled on your device. The app asks for permission when you set your first warranty.
Settings
Your default currency, business or personal, name and company for reports, paper size, list sort and Pro report options (mileage and per-diem lines, branding, home currency and rates) are stored on your device.
Purchases
Receipt Cat Pro is an in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.
Changes to This Policy
If the app changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
