Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Recipe Cat app, made by IYIO ("we", "our", or "us"). On the App Store, Recipe Cat's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

• No account: there's no sign-in and nothing to register.
• No analytics, tracking or ads: the app has no third-party SDKs.
• No networking: the app doesn't send your recipes, photos or scans anywhere. A recipe leaves your device only when you print or share it.

• Recipes and photos: stored in the app's own storage on your device. They're part of your normal device backup, like any app's documents. We don't sync or copy them anywhere.
• Dish photos: you pick them with the system photo picker, so the app never sees the rest of your library.
• Scanning a card (Pro): the camera is asked for only when you tap to scan a handwritten card. Apple's text recognition reads it on your device, and the photo is kept with the recipe. It isn't sent anywhere to be read.
• Pasting a recipe (Pro): the text you paste is split into its parts on your device. The app reads the clipboard only when you paste.
• Keeping: everything stays until you delete it. If Pro is ever lost, nothing you made is removed.

• Pro: an optional one-time in-app purchase through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment, the app checks your purchase on your device, and we receive no purchase data.

Your recipes leave the app only when you tap one of these:

• Print: a recipe card, or with Pro the family cookbook, sent with AirPrint to the printer you choose.
• Share: a PDF sent with the system share sheet to the app or person you choose.

Your paper size and the cookbook's title are stored on your device. They stay on your device.

Recipe Cat Pro is an in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.

If the app changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
