Privacy Policy

Tally Cat keeps your counters, counts and tap times on your iPhone or iPad. We don't collect any data from the app.

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Overview

This policy covers the Tally Cat app, made by IYIO ("we", "our", or "us"). On the App Store, Tally Cat's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

  • No account: there's no sign-in and nothing to register.
  • No analytics, tracking or ads: the app has no third-party SDKs.
  • No networking: the app doesn't send your counts, counter names or tap times anywhere. They leave your device only when you print or share them.

Your Counts

  • Counts and tap times: stored in one file in the app's own storage on your device. They're part of your normal device backup, like any app's documents. We don't sync or copy them anywhere.
  • A file that can’t be read: is kept as a dated copy beside it on your device, never sent anywhere.
  • No permissions: no camera, photos, contacts, location, microphone or notifications.
  • Keeping: everything stays until you delete it. If Pro is ever lost, nothing you made is removed.

Tally Cat Pro

  • Pro: an optional one-time in-app purchase through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment, the app checks your purchase on your device, and we receive no purchase data.

Printing and Sharing

Your counts leave the app only when you tap one of these on the count sheet or, with Pro, the 15-minute report:

  • Print: sent with AirPrint to the printer you choose.
  • Share PDF or CSV: sent with the system share sheet to the app or person you choose.

Settings

Whether the counter grid is on is stored on your device. It stays on your device.

Purchases

Tally Cat Pro is an in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.

Changes to This Policy

If the app changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
