Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Convert Cat app and its share action, made by IYIO ("we", "our", or "us"). On the App Store, Convert Cat's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

• No account: there's no sign-in and nothing to register.
• No analytics, tracking or ads: the app has no third-party SDKs.
• No networking: the app and its share action don't send your photos, files or settings anywhere. Files leave your device only when you choose to save or share them.

Convert Cat only sees what you give it:

• Photos: you pick photos with the system photo picker. The app gets only the photos you pick and has no access to the rest of your library.
• Files: you pick files with the Files picker.
• Conversion: all conversion happens on your device, using Apple's built-in frameworks.
• Storage: copies of the files you pick and the converted results are kept in the app's own storage on your device. They are excluded from iCloud backup.
• Photo info: location, date and camera details are removed or kept, as you choose. PDFs made from photos don't include this info.

Your files leave the app only when you tap one of these:

• Save to Photos: the app asks for add-only access. It adds new photos and never changes your originals.
• Save to Files: you choose where the file goes.
• Share: the system share sheet sends the file to the app or person you choose.

You can convert files from other apps with Convert Cat's share action. It reads only the items you share with it, converts them on your device, and keeps the results in its own temporary folder, which is excluded from backup. Like the app, it has no networking code.

Your settings, drafts and presets are stored on your device. The share action reads your presets and Pro status from a shared container on your device. Nothing stored there identifies you.

Convert Cat Pro is an in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.

If the app changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
