Free: capture, Kindle import, reminders, exports and the editions of 2 books.
- Photograph a page, or several with the document scanner, or pick photos. Reader’s Cut finds the highlighted lines, over the letters or drawn underneath like a thick underline
- Whole sentences, with the page number kept. Missed a line? Pick it yourself, or type it
- Bring in the highlights from a Kindle’s My Clippings.txt file
- Your edition: every line in page order, set like a book, with its page in the margin, and chapters from the headings you give or by page ranges
- On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the on-device model can tidy scanning slips, suggest chapter headings and write one short margin note per chapter, labelled as Reader’s Cut’s and easy to turn off. Your wording is never changed. Without Apple Intelligence everything else works the same
- Listen: the edition read aloud by the iPhone’s own voices. Skip chapters, change the speed, keep listening with the screen locked
- Mark a book finished and its edition comes back one week, one month and six months later, with a reminder at your time. The shelf shows which editions are due
- Find a book by title, author or ISBN, or scan the barcode on the back
- Export a book’s lines as Markdown for any notes app, or everything as a JSON file. Sync through your own private iCloud. Deleted books and lines wait in Trash
